Today was a HAPPY DAY..

I wasnt working for almost 2 weeks now. One workday before I finally had my vacation days, I actually had to call in sick since I was having contraction. I was scared that I'll need to be confine on a bed if contraction persist. Im just not they type that could actually stay in complete bed rest. After havin my check-up with my doctor, and having negative results on preterm labor Im back on my feet again. I was happy coz I know I could drag my 2 boys while Daddy is working.

I feel bad that until now Im still not licensed to drive. Well, I guess it is to prevent me from actually going to far places. But I dont consider that as a hinder. If I could take public transpo in the Philippines, why not here? Off to bus we go..and my little kiya actually had fun!

There's nothing really much kid-friendly stuff to go to in our city so we enjoy every activities they had in the library. Both T and Y enjoys toddler time.

Everytime we go out, T expects a treat of burger and fries. I dont wanna take another bus just to bring them to McD's so i just look for a place where they could probably have a burger. And we end up at 13th Avenue Food and Coffee House. It wasnt really child friendly but my kids still had fun having lunch date with mommy.

I wish to spend more times like this with my kids and I hope that the feelings are mutual. Now, I just need to get my driver's license to explore more nice places with these kids.

Pretend Birthday

I dont know where my toddler is getting his idea. On Monday, he randomly asked me to make a cake so He could surprise his dad when he got back from work.

Im not much of a supermom as I want to be. I honestly dont know how to bake from scratch. I thought he would forget it at the end of the day but the next day he asked me again about the surprise cake for daddy. he waited and waited until finally on Thursday, I was able to buy some ready-mix cake, instant frosting and sprinkles. Yay!

oh what fun they had in the process of making the cake! while kuya was enjoying the mixing part, the little one just cant wait to have a taste of the cake.

i think we overdo the sprinkle. but that is just part of the fun!

unfortunately, after their hardwork, they forgot that they were making the cake for daddy and just own the cake.

Lego Make and Take at Chapters

Yesterday, I told Ty that we're going to a Lego activity. He actually thought that we're going to Legoland! If there's only one in our place, I wouldnt mind bringing my boys everyday. But we still need to do some flight arrangement before we could go to a Legoland park. For now, we'll settle for lego activities in our city.

We came at exactly 11am on the venue, as posted on their website. But I was surprise with how many kids were there! I guess we should have been earlier so my boys had a better spot for storytime. Nonetheless, Ty still attentively listen to the story and was looking for his own Lego books when we got home. Unfortunately, He doesnt really have one cause we just usually borrow books from the library. As of now, we dont have at it in our library haul.

I didnt know that we need to register the boys so they could get their activity package. Luckily, there were extras so both of my boys had their package. This is Ty's first time to make a Lego and I guess he is still young to understand the instruction but I love how his creativity came out because of this experience.

After their individual make and take, they were divided into groups for Lego making contest. At first he ended up with a group of girls and they were not including him so i had to move him to another group. Overall, it was a fun experience for him. Im still looking for more Lego activities but so far, I havent seen one for his age group. They're usually for 6 years old and above.

Pyjama Party at the Library

Two things I love: pyjamas and the Library. This is why when I found out that they're having a pyjama party at the library I made sure that I would be able to bring my kids.

Yohann is a bit young for the age group but he actually behaved and enjoyed every activity like the older kids. I guess having a big brother to look up to, made a difference.

He's actually too little to participate but he insist in doing so.

It was helpful having a little brother for Tyrese too. When he was younger, he was so shy to even participate but now that Yohann is with him he was actually less shy.

One of their favorite activity was the singing part. While Tyrese loves to hold the parachute, Yohann loves being underneath it.

One hour of pyjama time seems so short. But they had enough time to play around the library and borrow some books. I hope I would always be able to bring them to Pyjama Time.

For ages 2-5, accompanied by an adult. Join us in your jammies for a fun-filled program of stories, songs, rhymes and other special activities. No program May 18.

Baby Talk

I feel bad that I wasn't diligent on tracking my kids's milestone. I was busy with a lot of stuff but everyday I still find it amazing to discover what they can do.

Yohann is 18 months old today.

1 and a half year old.

6 months to go and he's two.

Lately, we noticed him to talk more in signs and speak in syllables too. Although not clearly you could quite get what he meant.

He's favorite words so far are:

Tyty - his brothers name.
star
crackers
bump - for fist bump.
more
arms up

It may not be ideal but I give credit to the videos he watch. He loves baby signing time and your baby can read. It entertains him while im busy with other things and at the same time educates him too.

Almost Spring!

Finally, we were able to come out and play! But we didnt stay long because it still feel cold at 5°c. We were out for a good five to ten minutes but my kids were happy and let them know that pretty soon we can bring out their bikes for a ride. I could have brought it out but the snow are still melting and their OC dad may probably get mad if I put wet wheels back on the storage.

It's a bit sad that we are on a place that almost half a year is winter but Im trying my best not to be negative about it. I realize that there are other "waiting for spring"activities we can do indoors. I was able to do a lot of craft time activity for my kids which gave us a chance to spend quality time rather than wasting it with TV/ipad. Although, TV and ipad is still the "to-go" activity that my eldest enjoy the most. Some of the activities we did were the following:

1. craft time:

2. kitchen time:

3. Library time:

4. wasting time:

Hopefully, next winter I could come up with more fun "waiting for spring" activities but right now we're so ready for you SPRING!!!
